1. About Terra Vida Academy

Terra Vida Academy (“TVA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Vernonia, Oregon. Our mission is to educate, activate, and regenerate communities through immersive workshops and programs focused on sustainable living, permaculture design, organic farming, natural building, and environmental stewardship.

2. Use of the Website

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes. You must not:

3. Course Enrollment and Registration

When you enroll in a Terra Vida Academy course or workshop, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • Course fees, dates, locations, and availability are subject to change without prior notice.
  • Enrollment is confirmed only upon receipt of payment or written confirmation from TVA.
  • You are responsible for ensuring you meet any prerequisites listed for a course.
  • TVA reserves the right to refuse enrollment or remove any participant for disruptive conduct.
  • Certificates of completion are issued at TVA’s discretion upon satisfactory participation.

4. Payment and Fees

All course fees and donations are processed securely through third-party payment processors. TVA does not store your full payment card information. All prices are listed in US Dollars. Fees are non-refundable unless a course is cancelled by TVA, in which case participants will receive a full refund or credit toward a future course.

5. Refund and Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your enrollment, please contact us at info@terravidaacademy.com at least 7 days before the course start date to be considered for a refund or transfer. Cancellations made fewer than 7 days before the start date may not be eligible for a refund. TVA reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any course due to insufficient enrollment, instructor unavailability, weather, or other circumstances beyond our control.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, images, logos, videos, and course materials — is the property of Terra Vida Academy or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any TVA content without our explicit written permission. Personal, non-commercial use is permitted for educational reference only.

7. Physical Activity and Safety

Some TVA courses and workshops involve physical activity, outdoor settings, and hands-on building or farming tasks. By enrolling, you acknowledge these activities carry inherent risks and agree to follow all safety guidelines provided by TVA instructors. You accept responsibility for your own health and safety during participation. Participants with medical conditions should consult a healthcare professional before enrolling in physically demanding workshops.

8. Volunteering and Business Incubator Programs

Participation in TVA’s volunteer programs or Business Incubator is subject to separate agreements and program-specific guidelines. Volunteers and program participants agree to adhere to all TVA safety policies and codes of conduct. TVA reserves the right to terminate participation at its discretion.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Terra Vida Academy’s website and services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. TVA does not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, nor do we guarantee specific outcomes from course participation.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Terra Vida Academy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our website or participation in our programs. TVA’s total liability for any claims shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific course or service in question.

12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Washington County, Oregon.
